WELCOME TO THE CHARLES TOWN LIBRARY

FRIENDS OF THE CHARLES TOWN LIBRARY

Thanks to Mary Koonce for her wonderful flowering arrangement demo and lecture as a fundraiser for the Charles Town Library.

Thanks to Lyle C. Tabb & Sons, Inc. for donating the new mulch for the Library's landscaping. It has certainly spruced up the Library's grounds. Mr. Tabb's generosity helps assure that the Library will be able to continue to serve our community. When you need mulch, please consider Lyle C. Tabb & Sons, Inc. out on the Old Leetown Pike.

A big thank you to Todd Wilt of TNT Hauling for donating his time and equipment for the repaving of the Library's parking lot with eco-friendly material. Thank you, too, to Scott Coyle, Charles Town City Manger for making this possible. The water that pools in the parking lot after a rain will now seep into the soil rather than creating run-off. We deeply appreciate the donation.

A NOTE ABOUT THE CHARLES TOWN LIBRARY

The Charles Town Library is a community library, not a public library. The Charles Town Library was founded by community members for community members. It is a membership library, however, membership is FREE to all those who live or work in Jefferson County.

The library supports itself primarily through endowment monies left to the library by those who believed in the power of libraries to change lives and serve the community's information needs. Thus, this library's services depend on the goodwill and active participation of the community.

In return, we ask this question: what can we do to support and sustain your information and reading needs? How might we better serve you? Don't hesitate to tell us. E-mail octllibrarian@frontier.com with your ideas and thoughts.
